Concert Review: Opera Latte

I had the opportunity to go to the Opera Latte concert at Minoa Pera and I absolutely loved it. This is project is created by Burcu Arpacıoğlu and Ekin Naz Kaptan, two classical musicians with a colourful and interesting music archive. They perform not only classical music, but also jazz standards, as well as music from musicals, and tangos.

I really liked how they mixed up all different music styles. Their training and background in classical music is excellent, and their jazz and other musical influences gives the performance a fresh and colorful twist.

The setting, Minoa Pera, was a warm and welcoming environment for the concert. The way they made the transition from classical to modern music was very organic and very easy to follow. It demonstrated to me in spades their importance and value, this kind of very specialized work.

I really do want to attend more concerts like Opera Latte. This is the kind of project that delights music lovers. I want them to be featured in various kinds of venues and accessible to a wider audience.

So in short, for me, this show was very inspiring, and I really enjoyed it! I congratulate the ladies and eagerly await their future concerts.
